Pay with Google Wallet. Skip the statement import.

Google Wallet capture is coming soon to mooola on Android. This page previews the feature; downloading the current app does not enable it yet.

Google Wallet capture is currently Android-only. mooola is also available on iPhone and iPad, but this feature is not available there.

Android’s notification-access permission is broad. mooola filters for Google Wallet before reading notification content. It does not inspect notifications from your other apps. You can turn capture off in mooola or revoke notification access in Android settings.

With capture enabled and notification access allowed, mooola saves new Wallet notifications locally even while the app is closed. Recognised purchases are added to Expenses when you next open mooola. Keep Google Wallet notifications enabled.

Capture starts with new notifications after you enable it. It does not retrieve past Wallet payments. Import a supported bank statement to bring in your earlier spending.

When mooola finds a unique match by merchant, amount, currency and date, it updates the existing purchase with the statement details instead of adding it twice. If a match is ambiguous, the purchases remain separate. Compare your expenses with your statement.

Only recognised purchase notifications from Google Wallet are added. Missing payment details and unsupported formats or currencies may prevent an import; mooola reports these in Settings. Refunds, declined payments and promotional notifications are not imported as purchases. Different currencies cannot currently be combined in your expense totals.
