Consistent fields without invented data
The generated file uses the same versioned statement schema as the mooola app. It preserves available source detail and leaves unavailable values blank.

Account number, name, type, branch code, and currency where the supported layout provides them.

Bank statement PDF-to-CSV converter FAQ
Can this converter process any bank statement PDF?
You can try any original digital bank statement PDF, but conversion succeeds only when its layout matches one of mooola’s currently supported parsers. The tool automatically detects compatible South African bank and statement formats; it does not use generic extraction or silently guess at unsupported layouts.
Is my bank statement uploaded to mooola?
No. The website reads the PDF, detects a supported format, and creates the CSV locally in your browser. mooola does not receive or store the statement, its password, its transactions, or the generated CSV.
What happens if my statement is not supported?
No CSV is created. If the failure is eligible, you can review and deliberately send a privacy-safe structural report that excludes the statement, filename, transaction descriptions, dates, amounts, balances, and account details. A useful report can often make support possible within a few days to a week, although the work required varies and no turnaround time is guaranteed.
Can it convert a scanned or photographed statement?
No. The PDF must contain selectable text. Scans, photographs, screenshots, and image-only PDFs require OCR and are not supported by this converter.
Can it open a password-protected statement?
Yes. If the PDF is protected, the converter asks for the password and uses it only inside the browser to open the local file. The password is not stored or transmitted.
Can I convert multiple statements at once?
Yes. You can select or drop up to 10 PDFs at a time. They are processed locally, one at a time, and can be downloaded individually or as one combined CSV. The combined export conservatively removes exact overlapping transactions while preserving repeated identical transactions within a statement.
What is included in the CSV?
The CSV uses mooola’s consistent statement schema and includes available statement, account, transaction, date, description, reference, money-in, money-out, fee, balance, and currency fields. Empty fields are left blank rather than invented.
