Prepare the supported African Bank PDF
Download the original digital transaction statement from African Bank. Do not print it, scan it, take screenshots, or convert it through another app.
Before importing, open the PDF and check that you can select transaction text. An image-only PDF does not contain the text mooola needs.
Import the statement
- 1
Open Import data
In mooola, open Import data and choose African Bank.
- 2
Select the original PDF
Use the file picker to select the downloaded statement. mooola checks whether the statement format is supported before importing its transactions.
- 3
Review and finish
Read the summary for new, updated, unchanged, or ignored transactions, compare the results with your statement, then tap Done.
If the African Bank statement does not import
- Confirm it is a transaction statement, not a proof of account, balance letter, screenshot, or scan.
- Check that transaction text is selectable.
- Use the PDF downloaded directly from African Bank without editing or recompressing it.
- Early support covers selected layouts, so another African Bank statement format may not yet import.
Importing overlapping date ranges
It is safe to import a later statement that overlaps previous dates. mooola reconciles matching transactions and explains the result in the import summary rather than adding everything again.
Your statement remains private
The PDF is processed on your device. mooola does not connect to African Bank or upload your statement for processing, and it never asks for bank credentials. Temporary file-picker copies are removed after import.
