Export the statement from Capitec

  1. 1

    Open the account

In the Capitec app or online banking, open the account whose transactions you want to import, then open its statement options.

  2. 2

    Export a supported original file

Use an original transaction CSV or a supported digital Main or Access Anytime account-statement PDF. Keep the exported file unchanged.

  3. 3

    Save or share the file

Save the original file to your device or share it directly to mooola. If mooola is not immediately visible in the share sheet, choose More.

Complete the import in mooola

  1. 1

    Choose Capitec

Open Import data in mooola and choose Capitec, or continue from the system share sheet.

  2. 2

Select the original PDF or CSV

Choose the supported file you downloaded from Capitec. mooola identifies and validates the format locally.

  3. 3

    Review the summary

Confirm the counts for new, updated, unchanged, or ignored transactions, then tap Done.

If the Capitec statement does not import

  • Confirm the PDF or CSV came directly from Capitec and was not edited, recompressed, or converted.
  • For PDF imports, use a supported Main or Access Anytime account statement and confirm that transaction text is selectable.
  • For CSV imports, do not open and resave the file in spreadsheet software; that can change separators, dates, or encoding.
  • Do not use a screenshot, scan, photograph, copied table, proof of payment, or file converted from another format.
  • Try a shorter date range if the export is unusually large.
  • Check whether the file contains actual transaction rows, not only a balance summary.

Overlapping and repeated imports

You can import a later statement that overlaps a period you imported before. mooola reconciles matching records and reports what was new, updated, unchanged, or ignored. Importing the same statement again should not duplicate every transaction.

Privacy during import

The Capitec PDF or CSV is parsed on your device. mooola does not connect to Capitec, ask for your bank credentials, or upload the statement to mooola for parsing. Temporary file-picker copies are removed after import.
