Export the CSV from Monzo
- 1
Open the account
In the Monzo app, tap Home and open the three-dot menu underneath the relevant card.
- 2
Open Bank statements
Tap Bank statements and choose the date range you want to export.
- 3
Choose CSV
Select CSV rather than PDF or QIF, then save the original download without editing it.
These steps were checked against the bank's current bank statement guide. Labels can change when its app or website is updated.
Which Monzo export mooola can import
mooola currently recognises selected account-statement csv exports with transaction category and currency fields. Support is based on the CSV structure, not only the filename or bank name.
Import the CSV into mooola
- 1
Choose Monzo
Open Import data in mooola and select Monzo.
- 2
Select the original CSV
Choose the unchanged CSV downloaded from Monzo. mooola checks the file structure before importing transactions.
- 3
Review the import
Compare the imported dates and amounts with the original export, review the import summary, then tap Done.
If the Monzo CSV does not import
- Confirm you selected the CSV export described in this guide rather than a PDF, spreadsheet, payment receipt, or account-confirmation document.
- Use the original download without opening and resaving it in spreadsheet software, which can change dates, separators, decimals, or encoding.
- Check that the file contains transaction rows for the selected period, not only balances or a summary.
- The bank may have changed its headers or your account language may produce a variation that is not recognised yet.
Your Monzo CSV stays on your device
mooola reads the selected CSV locally. It does not connect to Monzo, request banking credentials, or upload the file for parsing. Temporary file-picker copies are removed after import.
